Snapchat for BigCommerce is now available to all BigCommerce users in the US and will be added to other markets around the world in 2023.
Snap AR Shopping
Following the partnership announcement with BigCommerce, Snap, Inc. also announced that they had teamed with Amazon to create a new augmented reality-powered virtual shopping experience. Snapchat users can digitally try on various styles of eyewear from leading brands such as Maui Jim, Persol, Ray-Ban, Costa Del Mar among others. This joint effort will also include the release of new Snapchat Shopping Lenses for multiple eyewear categories like sunglasses, reading glasses, and seasonal glasses.
Snapchat has invested heavily into AR shopping throughout the year. Major brands that have embraced Snapchat’s AR Shopping Lenses include MAC Cosmetics, Ultra Beauty, American Eagle, Puma, Chanel, Walmart, LVMH, as well as eyewear brands Goodr and Zenni Optical.
Snap, Inc. says that 250 million Snapchat users have used their AR Shopping Lenses more than 5 billion times throughout 2021.
